If you’ve been following my work, you know I have an intense interest in Reflexive Sympathetic Dystrophy, or RSD for short. It’s a mysterious disease that causes acute chronic pain, sometimes over your entire body.

I have RSD. For a whole year I could not walk. But what was worse was that it felt like somebody had put lighter fluid in my veins and lit me on fire from the inside out.

It was burning, screaming pain. And that’s an understatement!

As you can imagine, I was desperate. I had multiple spinal treatments with no success. Finally, after being treated by a healer, the pain disappeared and I was able to walk again. (Thank God!)

Which brings me to Tabitha.

Tabitha is a young girl who suffers from RSD. In fact, you may even remember some of the special promotions I’ve done to raise money for Tabitha.

Here’s the thing:

Tabitha still needs help. She has been in a coma. And the doctors say it’s now time to try to get her to come out. Bringing here out of the coma could literally save her life.

To do this, they will need more money. And so I’ve decided to do a special 1-day workshop in Philadelphia to benefit Tabitha. The cost is only $50.

A small portion of your $50 registration fee will help defray the cost of the room… and the rest will go to pay for Tabitha’s medical bills.

Footprints in the Sand

Ok so I admit it… I do watch American Idol! Last night I heard an audition where a contestant sang a song called Footprints in the sand (by Simon Cowell??) and it made me stop and think about those words. In my life I have followed many footprints in the sand… footprints of my Mom who led me in a great direction in life… my Dad who taught me much of what I know about business success… and footprints of the mentors I have invested almost $500,000 in to learn and to grow… and now I help my clients follow all those footprints because footprints in the sand of success leave clues.

I am sitting here this AM reflecting on how share my gifts of business success with my clients and those at my seminars and workshops and how I share through my books and teleclasses and how grateful I am to leave footprints others can follow and am mostly grateful to those whose footprints I follow and committed to create more successful clients by my footprints in the sand.

I often hear from entrepreneurs that they can’t make a great living in this economy and I am puzzled. Not only am I making a great living and enjoying a great life, I have financial security and freedom as an entrepreneur. I have discovered there are things I am doing differently than other entrepreneurs… like what? Ok, here are some of the things (can’t give them all away as my VIP clients invest in their businesses with me to learn this stuff!)

1. Be in a business where people actually WANT vs. need your products/services

2. Offer tons of value, value, value to people before you ask them to buy a thing

3. Put all your time and energy into helping people without worrying about IF they are going to buy from you

4. Share your gifts freely

5. If you don’t love the business, get out

6. Don’t work the business like a JOB

7. If you don’t consider your clients/customers extended family, you won’t have them

8. Focus more on retention than anything else

Tell me, are you really freeeeeeeeeee as an entrepreneur? If not, you need to learn how to create your business so you have financial freedom and plenty of time with family, friends, hobbies, vacations and the juice of life!

A common theme I’m seeing come up over and over again is this: “I’m broke. I don’t have any money.”

Sure, you have to face economic reality. If you don’t have any money, you don’t have any money!

When this happens, people are likely to think they have a money problem. They may even say things like, “I have big money problems.”

But is a lack of money a “money problem”?

I don’t think so.

Usually, a lack of money is merely a symptom of some deeper condition. For instance, you may have:

A procrastination problem – Always waiting until tomorrow to do what could be done today.

A laziness problem – Never being able to bring yourself to WORK.

A negativity problem – Always focusing on the bad things in life to the point where you are paralyzed by fear.

An attention problem – Glued to the boob tube, YouTube, cell phone, or Internet so often that you don’t have time to pursue your entrepreneurial dreams.

What is slowing you down?

I got an iphone back in November which I wanted for many months. I never thought a phone could revolutionize a business yet this one has…How? First of all I can update my blog with an app, next I can do Facebook, Twitter, you tube, create and send voice memos or videos to clients, I can Skype, broadcast through Ustream, book my travel, track my flights and biz expenses and more and more and more!

So when I travel I don’t even take my laptop with me at this point. My phone let’s me be connected to all social media and most importantly to my VIP clients.

If you don’t have an iphone I would consider one… and I am not an Apple or Mac spokesperson LOL.

My former blackberry phones? For me they are trash… apps didn’t do well and sorry but Verizon is waaaaaaaaaaay to slow for my liking.

Until recently, I had never heard of such a thing as “Tent Cities.”

But apparently, many “newly homeless” people are now living in tent cities in places like North Florida and Seattle, Washington.

These are not the kind of homeless people you may normally imagine.

These are folks who’ve been laid off from blue collar and white collar jobs… found themselves unable to pay for their homes… went into foreclosure… and became homeless.

These are people like you and me!

You might never know these folks were homeless, judging by how clean they look. Nevertheless, they ARE homeless. And they’re living in tent cities — large communities of people all living in pop-up camping tents.
