If you’ve been following my work, you know I have an intense interest in Reflexive Sympathetic Dystrophy, or RSD for short. It’s a mysterious disease that causes acute chronic pain, sometimes over your entire body.

I have RSD. For a whole year I could not walk. But what was worse was that it felt like somebody had put lighter fluid in my veins and lit me on fire from the inside out.

It was burning, screaming pain. And that’s an understatement!

As you can imagine, I was desperate. I had multiple spinal treatments with no success. Finally, after being treated by a healer, the pain disappeared and I was able to walk again. (Thank God!)

Which brings me to Tabitha.

Tabitha is a young girl who suffers from RSD. In fact, you may even remember some of the special promotions I’ve done to raise money for Tabitha.

Here’s the thing:

Tabitha still needs help. She has been in a coma. And the doctors say it’s now time to try to get her to come out. Bringing here out of the coma could literally save her life.

To do this, they will need more money. And so I’ve decided to do a special 1-day workshop in Philadelphia to benefit Tabitha. The cost is only $50.

A small portion of your $50 registration fee will help defray the cost of the room… and the rest will go to pay for Tabitha’s medical bills.

Until recently, I had never heard of such a thing as “Tent Cities.”

But apparently, many “newly homeless” people are now living in tent cities in places like North Florida and Seattle, Washington.

These are not the kind of homeless people you may normally imagine.

These are folks who’ve been laid off from blue collar and white collar jobs… found themselves unable to pay for their homes… went into foreclosure… and became homeless.

The answer is, yes: Focus on speaking AND building an electronic presence.

Here’s why…

Speaking Builds Authority

You should know that speaking is one of the primary ways I grow my business.

When I speak, I’m getting exposure to dozens (if not hundreds) of people who’ve never heard of me before. I get to build my authority, create instant trust, and generate new customers.

And I can do all that in 60-90 minutes of my time.

If I sit down and write something, that has impact; but if I speak to a large group, that has much more impact.

Does that mean you should just focus on public speaking and neglect your online presence? No way!

A Web Site Is Like a Fishing Pole: It Reels People In

Here’s what I’ve found. A certain percentage of people who see me speak won’t buy anything from me at first. But they will look me up online, subscribe to my email list, and perhaps buy something a couple months down the road.

So my online presence supports my speaking activity.

What’s more, I can then use my online presence to drive people to live events… where I’m speaking!

You see, there is a synergy between what you’re doing off-line and what you’re doing on-line. The two work together to maximize your results.

So should you focus on speaking to business groups or building your online presence? The answer is… yes!

The quality of your life is determined by the quality of the questions you ask.

For instance, you would never want to ask yourself, “Why am I such a loser?” This is a counterproductive question. It will not lead you to any answers that will move you beyond where you are in life.

A much better question might be, “What could I do to motivate myself to wake up earlier and start that side-business I’ve always been meaning to start?”

Or how about this one: “How can increase my income by 20% in the next 3 months?”

These are the kinds of questions that will kick your subconscious mind into high gear and practically force your brain to come up with positive, productive answers.

One of my favorite questions to ask is, “What can I do that will ring the cash register TODAY?”

When I ask myself this question, my mind starts popping with ideas and I can hardly keep up with them all.

And that’s what you want. You want to have so many positive ideas that you have no choice but to take positive action. Pretty cool, huh?

Would you believe it if I told you that you were sitting on a pot of gold?

Probably not. And I wouldn’t blame you. After all, it’s kind of ridiculous to suggest that wealth is within your grasp if only you would take hold of it.

But ridiculous as it is… it’s TRUE!!

Right now, you’ve got unbelievable wealth right at your fingertips. The only thing you need to do is put this “invisible wealth” to work so it becomes real wealth.

Of course, there are the somewhat obvious forms of wealth like health and time. Most people are healthy enough to do some kind of work. And most people have at least some time to invest in the opportunities they have.

But what about all the courses, training material, and ideas that are languishing on your bookshelves and on your computer hard drive? What about your relationships with key people?

I bet you’re sitting on at least $1,000 of untapped potential — and probably more like $10,000 or more.

Here’s an exercise:

Write down all the resources you have available to you — learning materials and key strategic relationships — then next to those resources write down at least one thing you could do this week to turn that resource into money.

This is how entrepreneurs and business owners think. In fact, one of my favorite questions to ask myself and my staff is, “What is going to ring the cash register today?”

Answer that question… then take action immediately.
